The Wedding Ceremony
Claire and Phil will be Sealed for Time and All Eternity in the Portland Oregon Temple of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
LDS Temples have receieved the reputation of being secretive which makes it seem that the practices inside, reserved only for worthy members of the LDS church, are an uncomfortable (for lack of a better word) tradition. We would like to explain to our friends that while we do not talk openly about the practices which happen inside the temple, it is not because it is a secret, but because it is sacred.
We believe that through the restoration of Christ's church, that the Priesthood power is restored and we can be sealed as husband and wife for all eternity. This is a sacred event and is close to our hearts. We regret that not all of our friends and family can witness this event, but hope you will understand and join us to celebrate the marriage at the reception.
